Historic Black Neighborhood quilt project
Pay homage to your neighborhood by creating and submitting a panel to be added to our quilt highliting Houston’s Historic Black Neighborhoods. The Historic Black Neighborhood Quilt Project is a way to unearth buried stories and shine more light on the expansiveness of Black people in this country. Pay homage to your Black neighborhood past or present, by creating a panel inspired by fond memories, people and/or places that reflect it.
And if you don’t know how to make a panel or stitch a quilt, don’t worry, WE GOT YOU! Click the link to learn more about how we can help you create a panel.
